Omicron coronavirus has reached China: the first case of infection has been confirmed

The first case of infection with omicron coronavirus has been reported in mainland China.

A patient with COVID-19, caused by a new South African mutation, was identified in the city of Tianjin. According to the epidemiological headquarters, the citizen returned from a trip abroad.
