The governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, announced this in his Telegram channel.

First, Gladkov said that he was informed about one casualty, that there was destruction and that emergency services were working on the spot.

Then the head of the region clarified that a residential building was partially destroyed, but the village was not on fire, and the main smoke was due to reeds burning outside the village; fire crews were working there.

Once again: the village is not on fire, the houses are not on fire, – Gladkov wrote.

The governor later said that, according to confirmed information, one person died – he died in an ambulance. Three more people were injured and are receiving medical care.
