Opposition sees an unfavorable environment for Glauber Braga on the Ethics Council; Gleisi defends deputy | Blogs
Government opponents assess that the scenario in the Ethics Council is unfavorable to deputy Glauber Braga (PSOL-RJ), who is the target of the collegiate for having kicked out a member of the MBL (Movimento Brasil Livre) from the House last year.
The Ethics Council yesterday approved the admissibility of Braga’s impeachment process by 10 votes in favor against 2 against.
The action was presented by the Novo party, which asks for Glauber’s mandate to be revoked for “violating the rules of decorum that require respect and decorum in interactions”.
The president of the PT, deputy Gleisi Hoffmann (PR), came to Braga’s defense on social media.
The PT member called it “disproportionate” for the Ethics Council to continue the process that could impeach the parliamentarian, “while allowing serious violations committed by several Bolsonaro supporters to pass. I am against this nonsense and will fight to ensure it doesn’t happen. To Congressman Braga, my solidarity!”, wrote Gleisi.
Wanted by CNNdeputy Glauber Braga has not yet spoken and said he would speak later.
