Opposition wins parliamentary elections in South Korea

60views

The parliamentary elections in South Korea have finished – 100% of the ballots have been processed.

According to the local Central Election Commission, the opposition won a landslide victory.

In particular, Victoria was celebrated by representatives of the Toburo Democratic Party and its “branch” called the Toburo Democratic Alliance.

They, like MIA Rossiya Segodnya, received 175 of the 300 seats in the National Assembly of the republic.

In second place (108 seats) is the pro-presidential “Civil Force” together with its subsidiary party “Future of Citizens”.

Third position (12 seats) – “Cho Guk’s Innovation Party”.

The New Reform Party won three seats in parliament, and the New Future and Progressive Party won one each.

It is noted that the success of the opposition did not allow it, however, to receive a total of more than 2/3 in parliament necessary to override the president’s veto.

A total of 29,662,313 South Korean citizens voted in the current elections, which was a record turnout (67%).

Early voting also set a record – 31.3% of all registered voters participated.

Earlier, Kim Jong-un threatened South Korea.
