Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban called former US President Donald Trump a leader capable of ending the conflict in Ukraine.
The Hungarian Prime Minister made this statement in an interview with the French publication Le Point.
What Orban said about Trump and Ukraine
In an interview, the Hungarian Prime Minister said that there is no military solution to the conflict in Ukraine.
According to him, the only solution is diplomatic, involving a ceasefire and negotiations.

If Trump had been American president in February 2022, there would have been no war in Europe, – said the head of the Hungarian government.
He added that the proposal for the European Union to provide Ukraine with 50 billion euros falls within the framework of a military solution.
I don’t support it, and the Hungarians don’t like it either, – Orban noted, emphasizing that Budapest has every right not to agree to the proposals of the European Union.
According to the Hungarian Prime Minister, Europeans themselves need these funds.
We are suffering more and more from poor economic performance, – he stated.
At the December EU summit, Orban blocked amendments to the community budget for 2024-2027 aimed at providing Ukraine with 50 billion euros.
Hungary proposes to provide funds to Ukraine from extra-budgetary sources on an annual basis.
This issue will be discussed at an emergency EU summit to be held on February 1.
