On the first day of February, German airports canceled or delayed 1,120 flights.

The fact is that a strike has hit the country. In particular, it covered 11 air ports.

According to Belta, citing the German television news service Tagesschau, some 200,000 passengers were affected by the strike.

It is known that airport employees responsible for the control of passengers and baggage are participating in the one-day strike.

They demand that their wages be increased, and they also want additional payments for overtime, work at night, on holidays and on weekends.

The strike paralyzed the work of airports in Hamburg, Berlin, Frankfurt am Main, Cologne, Dusseldorf, Bremen, Stuttgart and some other cities.

But the air terminals of Munich and Nuremberg were not affected by the strike, but all flights to cities with striking airports were canceled there.

According to German media, a total of 25,000 airport workers are participating in the strike.

Earlier, protesting farmers rode tractors to Brussels on the day of the EU summit.
