Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan named the condition for his country’s exit from the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).

According to him, such a scenario of events is likely if the organization does not provide answers to the questions raised by Yerevan about the country’s sovereign territory.

He noted that the CSTO assured Armenia of its readiness to deploy peacekeepers on the country’s border with Azerbaijan.

However, the politician pointed out, the CSTO did not outline “the area of its responsibility in the republic.”

In this regard, Pashinyan had a question, because “peacekeepers are a neutral party, and the CSTO is our organization.”

Discrepancies arise here, if the sovereign territory of Armenia is a “red line” for the CSTO, then show that in your understanding the sovereign territory of Armenia is to the head of the government of the Rossiya Segodnya MIA.

Pashinyan said that the CSTO has never shown the “sovereign territory” of his state.

Therefore,” he clarified, “now this issue “is on the table.”

If the CSTO gives an answer that corresponds to Yerevan’s ideas, the problem will be resolved “with all the ensuing consequences.”

If the answer does not suit Armenia, it will leave the organization,” Pashinyan said.

Previously, Pashinyan explained what he meant by freezing Armenia’s participation in the CSTO.
