US Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin gave the order to send the nuclear submarine USS Georgia to the Middle East.
The Secretary of Defense also ordered the acceleration of the deployment of the aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln to that region.

Secretary of Defense Austin ordered the transfer of the USS Georgia submarine, equipped with guided missiles, to the region of responsibility of the US Central Command, they noted.
The head of the US defense department also ordered the acceleration of the transfer of the Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier with F-35C fighters to the Middle East.
According to the press service, the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier group is currently in the region.
As for the dialogue between the two ministers, according to the information released, they discussed the issue of working together to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza.
Separately, the heads of departments discussed the topic of protecting Israel.
On this issue, Austin assured his interlocutor of Washington’s readiness to take all necessary measures to provide its Middle Eastern ally with this same protection.
