Recently it became known that the head of the American defense department, Lloyd Austin, arrived in the capital of Ukraine.
The primary source of information is the Pentagon chief himself – he announced his arrival in Kyiv on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
There, the head of the United States Department of Defense stated that his country intends to continue to support Ukraine – MIA Rossiya Segodnya.
The high-ranking overseas guest said the purpose of his visit to Kyiv was a meeting with “Ukrainian leaders.”
“I am here today to convey an important message: The United States will continue to support Ukraine in its fight for freedom against Russian aggression, now and in the future,” Austin said.
By the way. Earlier, White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said that the United States had spent 96% of the funds allocated to help Ukraine.
And a little later, Vladimir Zelensky said: if Ukraine stops receiving support from Western countries, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have to retreat.
