Pentagon: The Ukrainian Armed Forces will take years to reach the level of Russian forces in the air

0views

The head of the Pentagon Staff Committee, Mark Milley, spoke during a press conference regarding the level of training of Ukrainian pilots.

He believes that bringing Ukrainian military pilots up to Russian levels will require years of financial investment.

“Ten F-16 fighters cost $2 billion. The Russians own hundreds of fourth and fifth generation fighters.”– RIA «Novosti» Milli.

He also says that even if the ratio of aircraft were increased to two to one, it would require a huge amount of finance and years to train pilots.

The American military notes that at the moment the United States prefers to concentrate on providing Ukraine with modern air defense.

In any case, at the moment there are no specific delivery dates for fighter aircraft for Ukraine.

It also remains to be seen which country will provide combat aircraft for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
