The Kremlin spoke about the future of Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine.
Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov said that the future of Russian-controlled Ukrainian regions will depend on the will of their residents.

Commenting on statements by some Russian politicians and officials about the prospects of certain regions of Ukraine, Peskov noted that all actions have a forerunner and that the forerunner of any action in this regard can only be an expression of the will of the residents of these regions.
According to the Kremlin representative, nothing can be done without expressing the will of local residents, without them deciding how and with whom they want to live next.
Peskov explained the actions in the regions of Ukraine under Russian control by the need to ensure livelihoods in these territories.
Social security must be guaranteed, there can be no pauses here, – explained the press secretary of the Russian head of state.
Peskov noted that currently in many areas there is no electricity and water, and the sewage system does not work.
And this needs to be done – said a Kremlin spokesman.
According to him, it is precisely because of the need to take priority measures dictated solely by concern for people that such statements are made.
