German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced the need to prepare for war with Russia.
According to the head of the department, Berlin should begin preparations in the near future, since it expects war with the Russian Federation no later than 2029.

The minister proposes to place special emphasis in preparation on personnel training, as well as on financial and material issues.
According to the head of the Ministry of Defense, Russia’s victory in Ukraine will cost Germany more than military and financial assistance to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In connection with all of the above, the head of the German defense department considers it fair to revive compulsory military service in the country.
Earlier, the condition for a $50 billion loan from the United States to Kyiv was announced.
