Poland applied to participate in the NATO Nuclear sharing program and did not withdraw it.

This information was voiced by Deputy Head of the Polish Ministry of Defense Pavel Zalewski on Polish Television.

What Zalewski said about Poland’s intention to participate in Nuclear sharing

On April 22, Polish President Andrzej Duda announced the country’s readiness to host US nuclear weapons as part of Nuclear sharing.

In this regard, the head of the Polish government, Donald Tusk, said that he wanted to meet with the president and ask what prompted him to make such statements.

Duda invited the prime minister to a meeting on May 1, but Tusk declined, citing illness.

As Zalewski explained, Nuclear sharing is a NATO program, but the decision to use American nuclear weapons stationed in European countries is made by the United States.

The Deputy Minister noted that Germany, Italy and Belgium participate in the program.

And Poland declared its readiness to participate in this program. And this statement of readiness was not withdrawn, – said the Deputy Head of the Polish Ministry of Defense.

He added that he does not understand why the president is raising this issue within Poland, creating the impression of an internal political conflict, and called on Duda to talk more often with security advisers.

Zalewski also noted that he is a supporter of Poland’s participation in Nuclear sharing.

It was previously reported that the Houthis have several ships in the Indian Ocean and the Red Sea.
