Brigadier General Adam Marczak died suddenly in Poland.
He headed the headquarters of Operation EUROFOR Althea in Mons, Belgium.
The death of the general was reported by the press service of the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces on the social network X.

According to the command, the general died the day before, on March 26, of natural causes.
The sudden death of the general occurred due to natural causes during his free time from duty, – the message said.
According to the European Corps, Marczak held various positions in the command of European Union and North Atlantic Alliance operations in Afghanistan and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In 2021, he was appointed deputy chief of staff of the Eurocorps command in Strasbourg, then headed the headquarters of the EUROFOR Althea command in Mons.
