Poles were allowed to collect brushwood to heat their homes

43views

Now residents of Poland can officially collect firewood to heat their homes.

However, the authorities set two conditions: first, it is necessary to undergo training in this matter; second, you will need to make a payment in a certain amount.

About this MIA “Russia Today” with reference to the representative of the Katowice regional directorate of the State Forestry Marek Mruz.

It is noted that there is a shortage of coal in Poland. It arose after Warsaw imposed an embargo on relevant supplies from Russia.

But this is not the only problem. There are also reportedly firewood shortages in the country.

According to Mr. Mruz, residents can go into the forest, but they can only take lying branches from there – it is forbidden to break off from a tree, even dry ones.

The collection of brushwood touches the branches. At the same time, the collected branches cannot be thicker than seven centimeters, the specialist said.

And he added: those who want to collect brushwood must contact a forester to undergo training.

The same forester will show you the place where the forest cutting has been completed and, accordingly, brushwood can be collected here.

The collected goods will need to be shown to the forester, and he will take measurements and issue an invoice for payment.

Tariffs in each forestry are different, but on average they range from 7 to 30 zlotys (about 1.6 – 7 dollars) per quarter of a cubic meter.

If citizens collect brushwood without permission, their actions will be regarded as theft and will be punished with a fine. Litigation in court is not excluded.
