This was reported by the Polish radio station RMF FM.

How is the protest going?

On February 13, the Polish trade union Solidarity announced that on February 20, as part of a general protest, farmers would block all checkpoints on the border with Ukraine.

According to RMF FM, protests are taking place in 180 locations across the country.

Farmers brought agricultural machinery onto the roads and streets of a number of large cities and also blocked the border.

Polish strikers have begun stricter restrictions on traffic on the border with Ukraine, – reports the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on the social network Facebook (banned in the Russian Federation; owned by the extremist company Meta, recognized in Russia).

In addition, near the checkpoint in Medyka, farmers spilled corn grain from the train cars.

As one of the organizers of the protest, Roman Kondruv, said, this is a reaction to the flow of Ukrainian grain entering Poland.

People are desperate and can’t help themselves. No one controls the supplies – neither the Polish authorities, nor the Ukrainian, – he said.

A similar incident occurred in Dorohusk on February 11, the Polish prosecutor’s office is investigating.

Polish farmers and transporters have been periodically blocking the border with Ukraine since November last year.

They demand the abolition of benefits provided by the European Union to Ukrainian truck drivers after February 24, 2022.

Another strike against the import of agricultural products from Ukraine has been announced from February 9 to March 10. The protest was supported by the leadership of the Polish Ministry of Agriculture.

It was previously reported that the Israel of Brazilian President Luiz Ignacio Lulu da Silva is persona non grata.
