Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said that the United States knew about the impending sabotage of the Russian Nord Stream gas pipelines.

The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry made this statement in an interview with Rzeczpospolita.

What Sikorsky said about the US role in sabotage on Nord Streams

In September 2022, Sikorski, who did not yet hold the post of head of the Polish Foreign Ministry, thanked the United States for damaging the Nord Streams, writing under a photo from the accident site published on the social network Twitter, “It’s a small thing, but nice. Thank you, USA.”

Later, Sikorsky published on his page a quote from US President Joseph Biden, who threatened to destroy Nord Stream 2.

This time, Sikorsky did not specify who exactly carried out the sabotage.

According to him, if you believe the media, it was committed by someone who was interested in it.

The American side knew about this in advance and did not interfere with it. So there was something to be grateful for, – said the head of Polish diplomacy in an interview.

The minister noted that his attitude towards Nord Stream has been known for a long time. In 2006, the politician called the construction of Nord Stream 1 a new Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact.

The explosions at Nord Stream occurred on September 26, 2022. Germany, Sweden and Denmark have not ruled out targeted sabotage.

Nord Stream AG said the damage was unprecedented and the time frame for repairs could not be estimated.

The General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case regarding an act of international terrorism.

As the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov reported, Moscow has repeatedly requested data on explosions on gas pipelines, but has received nothing.

Earlier it was reported that in Kyrgyzstan a man under his house built a 130-meter tunnel to Uzbekistan.
