Polish investigators consider the rocket that fell in November to be Ukrainian

5views

The investigation in Poland confirmed that the rocket that fell in Przewoduwa in November 2022 belonged to Ukraine.

This was reported by the Polish publication Rzeczpospolita, citing unofficial sources.

What the Polish investigation found

According to the report, despite the lack of cooperation with Kiev, which has not yet provided Warsaw with any materials, the investigation made its own conclusions about the causes of the tragedy.

The opinion of the investigation, the publication writes, is categorical and excludes that the missile could have been fired from Russian territory.

Investigators have determined the type of missile – S-300 5B55, and they also know the launch location. The article notes that on November 15, Ukrainian air defense forces launched missiles in pairs to increase efficiency. Thus, the publication concludes, one missile hit the target, and the second “flew further into the void.”

According to one of the authors of the report, a missile with a range of 75-90 kilometers fell in Przewoduwa, and the positions of the Russian Armed Forces were then located in a place from where not a single Russian missile could reach Poland.

Even if we assume that the Russian batteries were located in Belarus, then from the place where they were then located to Przewodów in a straight line – 150 km – stated the publication’s interlocutor.

At the same time, the Polish prosecutor’s office has not yet shared the conclusions of the investigation. The official representative of the Polish Prosecutor General’s Office, Lukasz Lapczynski, confirmed to journalists that the conclusion had been received, but did not disclose its contents.

Indeed, we have received a conclusion. However, due to its closed nature, we do not distribute its contents, – said a representative of the department.

As reported, on the evening of November 15 last year in Poland, near the border with Ukraine, two people were killed as a result of a rocket fall.

Initially, assumptions were voiced that the missile was Russian. Later, Polish President Andrzej Duda said there was no evidence that the missile belonged to Russia and there was a high probability that it belonged to Ukraine. NATO announced similar data.
