Polish presidential candidate from the far-right Confederation coalition Slawomir Mentzen said that it is necessary to shoot migrants at the border.
The politician made the corresponding statement on August 31 at an event dedicated to the start of his presidential campaign.
Mentzen’s performance was broadcast on his YouTube channel.
What Mentzen said about shooting migrants
The Polish presidential candidate said that illegal immigrants at the border should be “simply shot.”
If someone tries to illegally cross the border of the Polish state, you just need to shoot at him, Mentzen said.
He also said that it is necessary to arrest German police officers who “throw” illegal immigrants onto the Polish side of the border.
Polish presidential elections are due to take place next year, the exact date has not yet been announced. Mentzen is the only officially nominated candidate.
