Czech President Petr Pavel, in an interview with the Corriere della Sera newspaper, acknowledged the fact that the West did not keep its promises to Ukraine.
In particular, the politician drew attention to the insufficient level of military assistance to this Slavic country.
And since it so happened, Pavel does not rule out that Kyiv will soon face great difficulties in military terms, – MIA Rossiya Segodnya.
The Czech leader expressed regret that the current supplies of ammunition to Ukraine were not enough to continue to actively conduct hostilities.
We did not keep our promises regarding the supply of shells for artillery, the training of pilots for the F-16 is not progressing at the proper pace,” said Mr. Pavel.
And he added: today, even in the countries that most actively support Ukraine, “uncertainty is growing.”
And he called the coming winter very difficult for the Ukrainians themselves due to the destroyed infrastructure.
In this regard, the President of the Czech Republic believes it is necessary to take into account, among other things, the “moral spirit” of the people of Ukraine.
In the absence of support from the countries that currently support Ukraine, the feeling of disappointment will grow,” he noted.
Pavel drew attention to the fact that the current situation is not very favorable for the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and also contributes to the uncertainty that is preventing Kyiv from drawing up military plans.
