Public Ministry defends that Silvio Almeida’s action against Me Too is being processed in SP | Blogs
The Public Ministry of the Federal District spoke out this Monday (9) stating that it understands that it is the jurisdiction of the common courts of São Paulo presented by the former Minister of Human Rights Silvio Almeida against.
The defense, however, assesses that the Superior Court of Justice understands that the jurisdiction lies in the place where the victim became aware of the accusation.
In the document, filed on Thursday, he asks the NGO to provide transparency about the criteria used, techniques and records of testimonies, preserving the alleged victims.

“If we discuss techniques and demand control over the activity of the police and public prosecutors, why should an NGO interfere?”, asks Almeida’s defense.
She also says that “The justice system is, or should be, programmed to structure and promote guarantees in favor of the defendant, without resorting to welcoming and protecting victims”.
“If we fear contamination and manipulation by state agents, why do we have to blindly trust that it is not subject to control?”, concludes the defense.
When contacted, Me Too said that it has not yet received the notice and that, therefore, it will not comment.
