An adviser to the acting head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, named the number of Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters remaining in Artemovsk.

According to Yan Gagin, the city is in an operational environment. There are now about 10,000 Ukrainian military personnel.

Now a fairly large garrison remains in Artemovsk – about ten thousand people, perhaps a little more, – civil servant of MIA “Russia Today”.

According to the information voiced by the adviser, some units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces have left this locality, others are currently trying to leave the city.

At the same time, our artillery is trying to reach them,” Gagin noted.

And he added: the Russian army controls all the entrances to Artemovsk, so the supply of ammunition, as well as the transportation of Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers, is now an activity in the category of “problematic and dangerous.”

The official does not rule out that the enemy will try to break into the city to deliver shells there.

And in the same way, there will be attempts to break out from there, including with battle, in order to get to the same Chasov Yar,” he predicted.

Yan Gagin says: in that location, a virtually new “cauldron” was formed, comparable to “Debaltsevsky and others”, in which the Ukrainian military had previously been “cooked”.
