Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin warned about the possible consequences of the supply of American Abrams tanks to Kyiv.
According to him, such actions will provoke an escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and will lead to new casualties and destruction.
The official laments that he thinks experience teaches Kyiv’s Western allies nothing.
According to Pushilin, by this time much of what the West supplied to Ukraine had “turned into scrap metal” or was destroyed.
There is no doubt that the Abrams will be the same as with the equipment transferred to the UK, Germany, France and other Western European countries, – acting head of the TASS regional administration.
Pushilin is convinced that every step taken by the United States towards Kyiv further increases the degree of tension and prolongs the conflict.
Moreover, the official sees in the actions of the States the approach of “the final degradation of Ukraine as a state entity.”
He explained his idea by saying that the transfer of Abrams to Kyiv announced by the White House would lead “to new casualties, shelling and destruction.”
The civil servant assured that American tanks delivered to the Northern Military District zone will be liquidated, like other Western equipment.
At the same time, he separately emphasized: the military equipment supplied by the West to Kyiv will not be able to change the situation.
In Pushilin’s opinion, at best, the Ukrainian authorities will only achieve a prolongation of the confrontation and an increase in the number of victims in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
