Rain leaks through the ceiling and reaches the Chamber plenary; see video

25views

The plenary session was hit by rain this Friday (11) due to a leak in the building’s roof.

A source forwarded the video to CNN (see below) which shows several infiltration points in the ceiling that caused water to reach the Board of Directors of the Chamber, which is occupied by advisors to the president of the House, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), and other employees who advise the other representatives of the Chamber Board of Directors.

The leak began around 5pm and, according to House staff, it has already been contained. However, the water reached computers and microphones at the site.

According to reports, the problem occurred due to waterproofing work on the ceiling of the plenary.

After the rain, Chamber staff placed a tarpaulin over the table’s equipment to prevent damage if the leak occurred again.

A CNN questioned the Chamber of Deputies about damage to plenary equipment, but did not receive feedback until the publication of this text.
