Representative of the Russian Federation in Vienna: Europe understands the impossibility of a victory for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The head of the Russian delegation at the negotiations in Vienna on military security and arms control, Konstantin Gavrilov, spoke about the sentiments of Europeans regarding the Ukrainian crisis.
He says that in Europe they are gradually beginning to understand that the Ukrainian Armed Forces cannot win in a military confrontation.
“Our interlocutors in Vienna understand that the scenario of an easy victory for Ukraine is not realistic”– RIA «Novosti» Gavrilova.
He says that Europe recognizes the strength and organization of the Russian army, which gained a lot of experience during the Northern Military District.
Gavrilov notes that the defense industry of NATO countries is in decline due to regular supplies of weapons and ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian representative believes that the alliance’s weapons warehouses are emptying and it will take years to replenish the costs.
The Kremlin has warned the world community many times that arms supplies to Ukraine will only contribute to prolonging the military conflict.
