Outgoing Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina was spotted at the Indian Air Force base.

According to NDTV, it was there that the plane landed, carrying a politician whose country had recently been gripped by mass unrest.

Earlier, as Western media wrote, Sheikh Hasina and her sister, amid the unrest taking place in the country, left their official residence in the capital Dhaka.

And TV channel News18 informed about Hasina’s resignation.

As for the protests, they started throughout Bangladesh last Sunday, August 4th.

This happened immediately after the Student Movement against Discrimination announced a multi-day “action of non-cooperation” with the authorities.

Demonstrations by students opposing government policies escalated into clashes with police and government supporters.

A curfew was introduced in the capital and other cities of the country from six in the evening (three in the afternoon, Belarusian time).

The first three days of this week have been declared holidays in Bangladesh.

After the prime minister fled, President Shahabuddin Chuppu ordered the release of detained protesters, as well as the former prime minister and opposition leader.

According to press reports, more than 300 people died during the riots and clashes.
