0views

It became known about the plans of the German defense concern Rheinmetall to build a tank factory in Ukraine.

Negotiations have already been held on this topic, which the head of the concern has already called promising. Data on the cost of the facility and production volumes are also disclosed.

The head of the Rheinmetall concern, Armin Papperger, announced plans to build a German tank plant in Ukraine in an interview with the publication.

At the moment, the approximate cost of the future plant is estimated at 200 million euros.

If this project is implemented, the enterprise will be able to produce up to 400 German Panthers in Ukraine.

According to Papperger, the fate of the plant can be decided within two months.

As for the current shortage of armored vehicles in the ranks, the head of Rheinmetall noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could help out 600-800 tanks, and the Bundeswehr does not have such a quantity in its reserves.

But the concern is actively working in this direction.

Let us recall that in Russia any cargo containing weapons for Ukraine is called a legitimate target for the Armed Forces.
