The German defense concern Rheinmetall is going to open another military plant in Ukraine.

The corresponding memorandum of intent was signed on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference, the Rheinmetall press service reported on the X social network.

Which plant will Rheinmetall build in Ukraine?

According to a statement from Rheinmetall, there are plans to open an ammunition production plant.

The plant will produce a six-digit number of 155mm shells annually.

The enterprise will be a joint venture: 51% of the shares will belong to Rheinmetall, 49% to the Ukrainian company.

As reported, in the next 3 months Rheinmetall should open an enterprise for the production and repair of armored vehicles in Ukraine.

The opening of this plant was announced in March last year by the head of Rheinmetall, Armin Papperger.

According to him, the plant, worth 200 billion euros, will be able to produce 400 tanks per year.

Previously, Denmark transferred all its artillery to Ukraine.
