35views

At least 15 people were injured during riots that broke out in the Belgian capital on Sunday, January 23.

The pogroms were preceded by numerous demonstrations of citizens opposing mandatory vaccination against coronavirus, as well as restrictive measures for those who are not vaccinated.

Some declared that they generally did not accept any restrictions related to the epidemiological situation.

As the TASS agency cited the Brussels police, at least 12 protesters and 3 law enforcement officers were injured.

According to police, about 50,000 people took part in the demonstration against sanitary restrictions in Europe.

After the rally, clashes with police and riots occurred in the European Quarter of Brussels.

Up to a thousand people took part in illegal actions, police say.

In turn, the security forces, in response to the aggression of the demonstrators who pelted them with firecrackers and bottles, used water cannons and tear gas.

It is reported that several dozen hyperactive anti-vaxxers have been detained.

According to available information, the “event” with pogroms ended with broken shop windows and glass in the buildings of European Union institutions.

In addition, protesters burned several cars and garbage containers.
