Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, turned to Vladimir Zelensky.
He called on the President of Ukraine to stop the occupation of the regional center and withdraw troops.
However, he said that 70% of the region is controlled by allied forces. And the city of Zaporozhye itself is under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
But Rogov is confident that Zaporozhye will be liberated – he says that a plan is being developed that provides for minimal destruction of infrastructure.
He draws attention: “Zelensky’s militants mined bridges and other objects.” And this complicates the release operation.
We call on Zelensky to give the order to withdraw his troops and end the occupation of the city,” an official of the Rossiya Segodnya MIA.
A member of the administration states that the population of those settlements in Zaporozhye that are under the control of Kyiv is “waiting for liberation and asking to be freed from the occupation of Ukrainian nationalists.”
Rogov shared data according to which militants, “policemen” and SBU officers are conducting “mass raids” in the main city of the region.
For this reason, he called on citizens to be extremely careful, not to receive summonses, not to be at the registration address, because otherwise they could easily be found.
The official recommends: if possible, you should leave the city for the liberated territory.
If this is not possible, you should stock up on food and water and look for the safest place “in conditions of urban battles.”
And these battles, Rogov emphasizes, are being led by “Zelensky’s terrorists,” who captured peaceful citizens and are being held as hostages.
