A representative of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region, Vladimir Rogov, said that over the past 24 hours, the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the nuclear power plant three times, and not twice, as reported in the media.

The nuclear power plant was attacked by Ukrainian nationalists on August 5, after which a fire broke out in the area.

Ukrainian armed forces used artillery to shell the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant, TASS reports with reference to Rogov’s statement on Soloviev.Live.

According to the official, over the past 24 hours, the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant came under fire from the Ukrainian Armed Forces three times.

The first attack was recorded at about 15:00 (local time).

The result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ shelling was a fire on the territory of the station.

In addition, the damage led to the breakage of two power lines ensuring the safe operation of power units.

A few hours later, it became known about a new shelling of the facility, as a result of which shells fell on the industrial site of the nuclear power plant.

The scale and details of another attack remained unknown at the time of the statement.

Earlier, the publication, citing Russian media, reported that the station’s reactor did not receive any damage as a result of the shelling, and Ukrainian nationalists moved from provocations to attempts to cause a man-made disaster.
