The Romanian Ministry of Defense commented on Russia’s attack on the infrastructure of the port of Reni in the Odessa region of Ukraine.

The Romanian defense ministry said that Russian attacks on Ukraine do not pose a threat to Romania.

Earlier, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on the night of September 3, the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a group drone strike on fuel storage facilities for the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the port of Reni, Odessa region.

The Romanian Ministry of Defense stated that they monitored the situation resulting from this attack in real time.

The Romanian defense department noted that the means of attack used by Russia have never created direct military threats to Romania.

Also, the Romanian Ministry of Defense stated that they are intensively monitoring the situation in the country’s land, air and sea spaces and strengthening the defense on the eastern flank within the framework of measures established in accordance with national and allied plans.

Russia’s armed forces began striking Ukraine’s infrastructure on October 10 last year, two days after the terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge.

Strikes are carried out against military command and control, defense industry, energy and communications facilities.
