French President Emmanuel Macron wants to send troops into Ukraine if Russia attacks Kyiv or Odessa.

This was announced by the leader of the French Communist Party, deputy of the National Assembly of France Fabien Roussel.

What Roussel said about Macron’s plan to send troops to Ukraine

As Roussel, who was present at yesterday’s meeting between Macron and the leaders of opposition parties, said on the TV channel, the French president is preparing public opinion for France to send troops into Ukraine if the front advances towards Odessa or Kyiv.

According to the leader of the PCF, everything must be done to prevent France from becoming an accomplice in the conflict in Ukraine and from entering into direct confrontation with the Russian Federation, and the strategic ambiguity that the French head of state wanted to achieve with his statements allows one to think that Paris can intervene in conflict.

The deputy noted that he asked Macron whether there is a red line today that cannot be crossed so as not to become an accomplice in the conflict and not enter into a war with the Russian Federation.

He answered me: “No, there should be no more borders, the essence of the conflict has changed,” – said the politician.

According to the leader of the PCF, the French President clearly admits the possibility of the country entering a war with Russia.

This worries me because with these words he is participating in military escalation, – said Roussel.

According to him, Macron claims that Moscow allegedly asked for a ceasefire.

At the same time, the French President said that agreeing to Russia’s demands is unacceptable, since stopping hostilities will give it the opportunity to rearm.

Roussel called this position of the French leader surprising. According to the deputy, it is the ceasefire that can become the beginning of peace negotiations.

At a meeting with parliamentary opposition leaders yesterday, Macron tried to convince them to approve increased support for Kyiv.

The meeting participants failed to come to an agreement. Opposition leaders warned the French head of state against dragging France into the conflict.

Previously, the UK wants to supply Kyiv with another 10,000 drones.
