Russia officially filed claims against Germany regarding the investigation into the Nord Stream explosion
Moscow has officially presented claims to Berlin related to the investigation into the sabotage that occurred on the Nord Stream in 2022.
This statement was made by the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Oleg Tyapkin.
The diplomat emphasized: the Russian side raised the issue of Germany and some other states fulfilling certain obligations.
We are talking about obligations that arise from United Nations treaties.
Corresponding claims to this effect have been officially made bilaterally, including to Berlin, – MIA quotes Oleg Tyapkin as saying.
The diplomat recalled: the authorities of a European country have put a Ukrainian citizen on the wanted list, who may be the perpetrator of sabotage on gas pipelines.
At the same time, the thesis is being spread in the foreign media according to which people involved in undermining the Nord Streams are not associated with one state or another.
In such conditions, Tyapkin admitted that the German investigative authorities would close the case without identifying the real customers of the sabotage.
This scenario will not suit Russia, the diplomat emphasized.
