Russia will deprive Japan of the right to fish from the Kuril Islands: the reason for the decision is given

44views

Japan will no longer have the right to fish off the Kuril Islands.

The corresponding decision was made by Russia due to the fact that the Japanese side refuses to pay for quotas.

Yuri Trutnev, who holds the position of plenipotentiary representative of the head of the Russian state in the Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation, spoke about this.

Russia has temporarily refused to implement the fisheries cooperation agreement adopted almost 25 years ago.

The decision will remain in effect until Japan makes all the necessary payments.

They punish themselves well, they don’t even need help, – MIA quotes Trutnev’s comment on the actions of the Japanese side.

Export of Russian fish

Trutnev also commented on the potential ban on the sale of fish caught by the Russian side to Japan.

According to the Russian leader’s plenipotentiary representative in the Far East, there is no need to limit exports.

As Trutnev noted, in fact this has already happened, and the Japanese side itself has done a lot for this.
