Russian admirals told how to get the missing bathyscaphe

0views

The former commander of the Northern Fleet, Admiral Vyacheslav Popov, and the former commander of the Baltic Fleet, Admiral Vladimir Valuev, spoke about ways to raise the missing bathyscaphe.

Previously, the bathyscaphe sank not far from the Titanic wreck.

RIA Novosti reports the opinion of former military personnel that the bathyscaphe could have gotten stuck in the wreckage of a sunken ship.

Popov and Valuev propose to tow the submersible from a depth of 3.8 kilometers.

The disappearance of the bathyscaphe with its crew was confirmed by OceanGate Expeditions – it was used to transport tourists to the site of the Titanic wreck.

At the moment, full communication with the bathyscaphe has not been restored – the oxygen supply is enough for about four days.

The assumption that the bathyscaphe could have gotten stuck in the wreckage of the ship was expressed by the deputy head of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, Mikhail Faleev.

Former admiral Popov believes that the technology for extracting the bathyscaphe is present, but this operation will be quite difficult.
