Russians with houses in Finland are preparing for restrictions

0views

Russian citizens who own property in Finland are preparing for new restrictions introduced by the local authorities.

On Tuesday, the Finnish government introduced new restrictions on entry into the country for Russian citizens.

RIA Novosti that new tightening measures will affect applicants, businessmen and real estate owners.

From now on, property owners from Russia will have to prove that maintenance work or repairs require their personal presence.

Riitta Koponen, a real estate agent from the Finnish city of Kinteistomaailma, describes the new restrictions purely negatively.

She believes that proving to a border patrol officer the need to be present in your own home during repairs is stupid.

The expert recalls that the restrictions affected not only entry, but also payment of taxes or types of services.

She adds that leaving the country is not limited for Russians – it is also still possible to enter through Norway.
