German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is visiting overseas Canada on a working visit.
There, the German leader plans to negotiate the supply of “important raw materials” to his country, which, according to his plans, should replace Russian gas.

According to the politician, Berlin seeks to work very closely with Ottawa on the formation of a new economy based on green hydrogen.
The German Chancellor also plans to discuss supplies of liquefied natural gas, nickel, cobalt, lithium and graphite.
It is known that as part of his trip, Olaf Scholz will visit several Canadian cities, including Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, Ontario, etc.
The first day of the visit started on August 21, the last will be on Tuesday, August 23.
Among other things, during a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Olaf Scholz will raise the topic of Ukraine.
