German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is not very optimistic about the timing of the end of the Ukrainian conflict.
In particular, the German leader expresses a pessimistic assumption that the crisis will drag on – it will last for a long time.
He stated this during a meeting with compatriots in the village of Cottbus, located in the federal state of Brandenburg.
We have to fear that this will continue for a long time, although we, of course, every day wish it were different, – Scholz TASS agency.
He added: based on the fact that the conflict is likely to be protracted, the production of weapons and ammunition should be put on a permanent basis.
