Scientists have found that mosquitoes can become a year-round problem

0views

Summer has arrived and mosquitoes have become a pressing problem.

However, American scientists shared a forecast according to which blood-sucking insects will annoy people not only in the warm season.

Mosquitoes will appear even in winter. Thus, the problem may become year-round.

According to the University of Florida, this is due to global warming.

The specialists’ findings were published in a scientific journal.

Which regions will face the problem?

Experts recalled that in countries with hot climates, mosquitoes are already active throughout the year.

But outside the tropical zone, blood-sucking insects hibernate at a time when the average daily air temperature decreases.

However, projected climate changes may mean that mosquitoes will be active in winter even in subtropical and temperate regions.

According to experts from the United States, insects can get used to temperature fluctuations, since due to global warming this figure will decrease.

In other words, mosquitoes will not hibernate, since it will be warm in the fall and even in winter.
