NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg calmed the worried Hungary.

Official Budapest fears that the North Atlantic Alliance may become a direct participant in the Ukrainian conflict.

The head of NATO assured the Hungarians, and along with them the whole world, that the organization he controls is not considering the issue of the presence of troops in Ukraine.

As before, NATO is only discussing issues related to providing Kyiv with military assistance,” the Secretary General clarified.

We are not discussing the presence of combat units in Ukraine, we are discussing the issue of coordinating and delivering assistance to Ukraine, as Alliance allies are currently doing – Stoltenberg MIA Rossiya Segodnya.

Separately, the senior official emphasized: NATO’s new plans to provide assistance to Kyiv will not lead to the Alliance’s participation in the conflict and will not change its defense policy on this issue.

Previously, the head of Rheinmetall said that the US will not help Europe in the event of a conflict.
