Stoltenberg proposed canceling Ukraine’s plan to join NATO

0views

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg announced the need to cancel the Action Plan for Ukraine regarding joining the alliance.

He noted that this will make it possible to speed up the procedure for the country’s accession to the organization.

“I proposed a three-point plan for Ukraine’s accession to NATO”– Stoltenberg’s RIA Novosti.

He noted that the new plan includes multi-year support for Ukraine, the creation of a NATO-Ukraine council and the cancellation of the Membership Action Plan.

Currently, Ukraine has the status of a candidate for NATO membership, but no concrete decision has been made yet.

Many media continue to speculate on the topic of Ukraine’s imminent accession to the alliance, but the reality remains the same – Kyiv will not receive an appropriate invitation while the state is drawn into a military conflict.

If Ukraine now receives confirmation of membership, then NATO, according to the agreement, will have to help.

This will mean the beginning of a more global military conflict.
