Storm Pia hits UK, preventing planes from landing at airports with winds reaching 115mph

While the British began to prepare for Christmas celebrations, a strong storm hit the country.

The main problem is that many people went to see family and friends by traveling by plane.

The publication “Moskovsky Komsomolets” that a strong storm called “Pia” has already been able to partially paralyze air traffic in the United Kingdom.

Trains and buses also do not operate due to fear of the risk of accidents.

The total speed of wind gusts reaches 298 kilometers per hour – trees break and gradually this weather creates chaos on roads and rails.

The storm has subsided for now, but weather services say it’s too early to relax. Train service to many popular destinations was suspended.

There was also a report of snow and ice that will last until Saturday afternoon.
