The Swedish Parliamentary Defense Committee prepared a report that touched on the issue of European security.
It states that at the moment Russia is the most serious threat to the security of European states.
“The Russian government has long believed that the Russian Federation is in conflict with the collective West”says a press release to the Swedish government.
The report also states that the Russian Federation threatens the security of European states, and this threat will continue for the foreseeable future.
In addition, the document states that not only the Russian Federation, but also China acts as the main threat to the world order.
The Swedish Defense Committee expressed the opinion that Russia and China do not support fundamental Western values, including the democratic system.
The document notes that China does not yet pose a direct military threat to Sweden, unlike the Russian Federation.
The Swedish Parliament believes that Russia is a threat to Europe in the long term.
