Tarcísio advises Nunes to maintain “serenity” in the SBT debate | Blogs

Around 12 hours before the SBT debate, around 10:30 pm, the mayor of São Paulo, Ricardo Nunes (MDB), received one of the last instructions from an ally before a new direct confrontation with Pablo Marçal (PRTB): keep calm.

The recommendation came from the state governor, Tarcísio de Freitas (Republicans), according to interlocutors heard by the CNN.

The suggestion is also supported by qualitative research carried out exhaustively in Nunes’ campaign.

The voters interviewed suggest that the mayor needs to appear to be a calm man, according to the CNN.

This could consolidate votes and even bring in new voters, according to the campaign’s internal surveys.

In the last electoral debate, on RedeTV, on Tuesday (17), Nunes and Marçal clashed.

The PRTB candidate suggested that the mayor had already been arrested and would be arrested again. The lack of control even resulted in a threat of suspension for both of them by mediator Amanda Klein.

The episode took place at the first meeting of the candidates after the clash recorded in the TV Cultura debate on Sunday (15).

In the final stretch, Ricardo Nunes’ campaign will have more Tarcísio and less Bolsonaro.

Without an overt engagement from the former president, Nunes will have the governor in tow on a tour of the regional units of the São Paulo Commercial Association.

Together, the two will visit 15 ACSP units. The first visit was made on Thursday (19), in the Pinheiros region.

The coordination is being made by Guilherme Afif Domingos, special secretary for Strategic Projects in the Tarcísio administration.

Concerned about the impact of each electoral piece, Nunes’ campaign has subjected all videos used on TV to two qualitative surveys.

The video is produced, goes through voter analysis, returns for modifications, and is only then used.

Among the allies of the current mayor, the motto is: don’t make mistakes. They already risk predicting that everything is heading towards him being in the second round against Guilherme Boulos (PSOL), but they recognize that a possible lack of temper could put the plan in jeopardy.

Precisely for this reason there is an effort to remain calm, especially with Marçal.

In addition to Tarcísio’s presence and visits to traders, the end of Nunes’ campaign will also include walks with the governor and sectoral meetings.
