TCU asks the government for information on firefighting

16views

The Federal Court of Auditors (TCU) determined, this Wednesday (18), steps in a process that seeks information to monitor actions to combat fire outbreaks.

The Court gave 15 days for responses.

The documents were sent by the TCU to the Ministry of the Environment, the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (Ibama) and the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation (ICMBio).

The requests are for clarification on “the measures already adopted and the activities currently underway by the institute, as well as the actions planned for the coming months and next year, aimed at combating fires in the country”.

The case’s rapporteur is TCU minister Walton Alencar Rodrigues.
