Ten Lula ministers take vacation in the week before elections

Six days before , at least ten ministers from the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) took vacation to dedicate themselves to the final stretch of campaigns in their electoral bases.

The first to step aside was the Minister of Labor, Luiz Marinho, who has actively participated in the mayoral campaign of his supporter Luiz Fernando (PT), in São Bernardo do Campo (SP). The minister went on vacation on September 13th and will return to his post on October 7th, the day after the vote.

The Minister of Sports, André Fufuca, was authorized by the president to take vacation from September 23rd to October 7th. In the same period, the ministers of Agrarian Development, Paulo Teixeira, and Education, Camilo Santana, also stepped down from their positions.

This Monday (30) it was the turn of the Minister of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, Márcio Macêdo, to go on vacation. He will be out of office until Friday (4), when ministers Wellington Dias (Social Development), José Múcio (Defense), Luciana Santos (Science and Technology) and Waldez Góes (Integration and Regional Development) also officially return to work. .

The Minister of Fisheries, André de Paula, returns on the 7th. Until then, he will dedicate part of his time to allied campaigns in Pernambuco. Among them, his daughter, Déa de Paula (PSD), who is seeking a place in the Recife City Council.
