Indonesia, popular among Belarusian tourists, has been hit by a hellish disaster: the earth is literally burning under our feet.

There the volcano is raging: lava erupts, huge stones are thrown out like from a catapult, some have damaged houses and cars.

In addition, lightning flashes furiously over the volcanoes, which makes the spectacle horrifyingly scary, like something out of a horror movie about hell breaking loose.

Highest degree of anxiety

All this was captured in photos and videos that eyewitnesses managed to take and publish online before they were evacuated from the dangerous area.

And today, April 18, local authorities announced the closure of the airport in the province where Ruang is fierce. Hundreds of people were also reported to be evacuated from the surrounding area.

The volcano has been erupting for several days in a row. In connection with the current situation, the authorities declared the highest level of alarm.

According to the TASS agency, on Wednesday, April 17, the Ruang volcano on the island of the same name in the province of North Sulawesi was distinguished by a particularly powerful eruption.

He threw a column of lava, hot rock and ash into the sky at a distance of up to 3 kilometers.

In addition, at the time of the eruption, an earthquake of magnitude 3.2 occurred.

Evacuation and falling rocks

Over 800 people were evacuated from that area, and the area within 6 km of the volcano was cordoned off.

Evacuations are ongoing, including for residents of the neighboring island of Tagulandang.

According to the volcanological agency, falling rocks and ash damaged houses and cars, and also forced employees of one of the hospitals to flee.

The airport in the provincial capital Manado is closed. Flights from 9 airports in East Malaysia and Brunei have been cancelled.

Earlier, there was another volcano in Iceland, turning one of the regions of the country into something very reminiscent of hell.
