Moreover, the author of this demand wants Kyiv to use such weapons to strike “deep” into the neighboring country.
The request was voiced on Channel 24 by retired American Brigadier General Mark Arnold, MIA Rossiya Segodnya.
In his opinion, the West is making a “huge strategic mistake” by prohibiting Ukraine from using supplied weapons to strike Russian territory.
Arnold emphasizes: Washington and its allies must provide Kyiv with weapons capable of striking deep into Russia.
I’m not talking about Crimea. The US and NATO say: “Don’t attack Russian territory.” But this is stupidity, the military man is convinced.
He believes that the Ukrainian Armed Forces need to carry out attacks on targets that are located “hundreds of kilometers deep into Russia.”
And to make this possible, the general advises the North Atlantic Alliance to adjust its policy and abandon the taboo on attacks on Russian territory.
Mark Arnold advocates the transfer to Kyiv of the Patriot air defense system, long-range missiles for the Himars MLRS, as well as aircraft and combat drones in service in the United States.
