Today, October 20, it became known about the eruption of Mount Aso on the Japanese island of Kyushu.

This is one of the largest such objects not only in the Land of the Rising Sun, but throughout the world.

The column of smoke rising from the crater of the volcano has already reached a height of 3500 meters.

This was reported by foreign news agencies with reference to the Japan Meteorological Administration.

Japanese meteorologists warned citizens about the danger and prohibited them from being in the territory within a radius of 2000 meters from the object.

At the moment, the Cabinet of Ministers of Japan is clarifying the circumstances of what is happening.

In addition, the country’s government decided to create a crisis headquarters.

It is known that during the eruption there were several dozen vehicles in the parking lot located near the volcano, including buses and cars.

However, there is no information about casualties or material damage.

Also, experts cannot yet conclude whether the resulting column of smoke will affect aviation traffic.

It is worth noting that the Aso volcano erupts quite often. The previous similar incident occurred two years ago.
